I’m going to tell a story, back when before my dad met my mom and had five kids, my dad put his siblings through school. My dad was the second oldest of a family of 14 kids, he graduated with honors, was offered with a high paying job after finishing college, and financed the schooling of his younger brothers and sisters. My uncle had the same smarts and finished his enginerering degree, he went on to have children of his own. But hard times came and he had to leave the country to pay for his kids college education. He never came back.
He called my dad a few months before christmas, he said he was coming home for a vacation, they chatted for awhile, and of course, being the overseas rates what they are, the conversation got cut off after the prepaid card he was using ran out of credits. My dad arranged for a family gathering at my grand dad’s house.
A month later we received news that my uncle had a stroke, according to the arab doctors who performed the autopsy. Funny, cause I never recall my dad’s family ever having heart problems. Pictures of the body showed that his face was all bloodied and his eyes were squashed, and they said it was because of his “stroke”. My grandad had a stroke, storkes don’t smash people’s faces in, blunt objects do.
